The deadline for the tender for a 99-year leasehold mixed-use Government Land Sales (GLS) site at Chencharu Close has been extended to September 11. The Housing & Development Board (HDB) announced the extension through a circular dated May 9, sent to those who purchased the eDeveloper’s Packet for the site.
When HDB launched the site for sale in September 2024, it marked the first time a private housing site was made available in Chencharu, a new 70-hectare HDB housing estate within the larger Yishun HDB Township. Located on a land plot of 316,997 square feet, the site boasts a gross floor area of over 1.03 million square feet. It has the potential to yield about 875 residential units and up to 135,627 square feet of commercial space.
In accordance with the site’s tender documents, 58,125 square feet of the commercial space will be allocated for a bus interchange, while an additional 37,674 square feet will be designated for a hawker centre. The GLS site is conveniently located within walking distance from Khatib MRT Station on the North-South Line.
