A brand new purpose-built workers’ dormitory, Pioneer Lodge Dormitory, is set to open in two phases starting from April 2025. This state-of-the-art accommodation is designed to cater to the needs of foreign workers, providing a comfortable and conducive environment for up to 10,500 individuals.

Phase one of Pioneer Lodge will commence its operations in April 2025 and will cater to 3,088 workers. This will be followed by phase two in October 2025, which will be able to accommodate an additional 7,412 workers. Phase one comprises four blocks of four-storey workers’ dormitories, while phase two encompasses an additional four blocks of nine-storey workers’ dormitories.

In addition to the well-designed living spaces, Pioneer Lodge also offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities that are conveniently located within the premises. These facilities are specifically curated to cater to the daily living needs and beyond of the workers.

Strategically located at Soon Lee Road near Jurong West, Pioneer Lodge is easily accessible from major expressways such as the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) and Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), providing efficient transportation routes to and from work sites for the workers.

The launch of Pioneer Lodge couldn’t have come at a better time, with the increasing demand for foreign worker housing to support Singapore’s growth in infrastructural projects. The construction, marine shipyard, and process industries, which are key drivers of Singapore’s economy, have contributed to this demand in recent years.

The Lyndenwoods community is set to thrive in Singapore’s ever-changing urban environment, thanks to the URA Master Plan. This comprehensive plan is designed to make neighborhoods like Lyndenwoods resilient and prepared for the future. It prioritizes connectivity, sustainability, and building a strong sense of community, laying the groundwork for sustainable growth. With its prime location and strong alignment with the URA goals, Lyndenwoods serves as a prime example of the ideal modern urban living experience.

Pioneer Lodge is designed in accordance with the latest guidelines for workers’ dormitories set by the government. Each worker will be assigned a larger living space, with a maximum of 12 workers per room and en-suite toilets for every six workers. The dormitory rooms are well-configured, with 12 beds, en-suite toilets, a dedicated cooking area, personal lockers, refrigerators, and washing machines. This provides a self-contained and liveable environment for the workers.

The two-storey annex block houses various recreational facilities, providing the workers with a comfortable environment to relax and unwind in the evenings and over weekends. These facilities include an indoor gymnasium, a multipurpose hall, and recreational rooms for activities such as TV watching and reading.

Pioneer Lodge also offers a wide range of outdoor facilities, promoting interaction and bonding among the workers. These include a basketball court, hardcourt, fitness area, and an outdoor pavilion for resting and socializing. Nearby, there are also amenities such as minimarts, retail outlets, and canteens, making it convenient for the workers to fulfill their essential needs.

Pioneer Lodge is developed by Active System Development and will be priced according to the market rates. It will be managed by Wee Hur’s joint venture partner, dormitory operator TS Group.

Pioneer Lodge is the second purpose-built workers’ dormitory by Wee Hur Dormitory, a fully-owned subsidiary of Wee Hur Holdings, a Singapore-listed construction and property group. Following the success of their first purpose-built dormitory, the 15,744-bed Tuas View Dormitory, which achieved an impressive average occupancy rate of 98%, Pioneer Lodge is set to offer a reliable and long-term housing solution for companies to house their foreign workers.

Unlike other worker dormitories that may not meet the latest regulations and require refurbishment, which can lead to operational disruptions, Pioneer Lodge is already compliant with the latest standards. Companies can now book their accommodation at Pioneer Lodge by contacting 9149 4909 or 9009 6971.
