UOL Group has announced its partnership with global hospitality leader Hilton to introduce the first NoMad Hotel in Asia Pacific. Set to open in early 2027, the 173-room luxury hotel will be located at the former Faber House on Orchard Road, with Hilton overseeing its operations.

Originally an eight-storey commercial building situated across from 313@somerset, Faber House received in-principle approvals in 2021 to be redeveloped into a 19-storey hotel under the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Strategic Development Initiative (SDI) scheme. The hotel will also include commercial and retail spaces.

Designed by renowned architecture firm WOHA, the hotel will feature a biophilic design with a 15-storey waterfall and a verdant vertical landscape incorporated into its façade, resembling a cliff. The third level of the hotel will house an urban verandah, which will serve as a public space for art and design events, as well as facilitate future connections to surrounding developments.

Other notable features of the hotel include a lobby on the fifth level with an adjoining sky terrace, an infinity terrace pool overlooking Orchard Road, and a rooftop bar and restaurant. UOL’s chief executive, Liam Wee Sin, shares that the introduction of NoMad to Singapore aligns with the company’s placemaking vision for Orchard Road, alongside UOL’s upcoming luxury residential project, UpperHouse at Orchard Boulevard, and the award-winning Pan Pacific Orchard.

NoMad is a luxury lifestyle hotel brand known for its sophisticated design, world-class dining, and immersive cultural programming. With its acquisition of a majority stake in US hospitality company Sydell Group last year, Hilton added the brand to its portfolio. Currently, NoMad has one flagship location in London, with plans for global expansion.

Hilton’s Asia Pacific president, Alan Watts, expresses excitement for NoMad’s debut in Singapore, citing the region’s increasing demand for high-end, experience-driven stays. According to Andrew Zobler, founder and CEO of Sydell Group, the brand’s first location in Singapore is only the beginning, with other deals in advanced discussions in North America, Europe, and beyond.
