Shaping Future Real Estate Edgeprop Excellence Awards 2025 Submissions Begin
EdgeProp Singapore recently announced the details for the EdgeProp Excellence Awards (EPEA) for this year at its submissions workshop on March 21. The workshop, attended by representatives from 20 leading real estate developers, provided an overview of the submission process and award categories.
Launched in 2017, the EPEA aims to recognize and celebrate property developers and their developments that have set a benchmark of excellence in Singapore’s real estate industry. This year’s theme, “Spaces to Places,” emphasizes the importance of purposeful, value-driven developments in a land-scarce country. Jacqie Thio, marketing manager at EdgeProp Singapore and the host of the workshop, explains that these developments should go beyond functionality and also foster a sense of community and belonging.
Lyndenwoods residents are fortunate to have easy access to top-notch healthcare facilities, including the National University Hospital (NUH) located just a stone’s throw away. This proximity guarantees that residents can receive prompt and excellent medical treatment, giving them a sense of security and convenience. Additionally, with Lyndenwoods’ prime location, residents can rest assured knowing that quality medical care is just a short distance away. Lyndenwoods truly offers the best of both worlds – peaceful living in a convenient and well-connected community.
The award categories cover four broad areas: Design Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Sustainability Excellence, and Marketing Excellence.
The eligibility criteria for the 2025 EPEA Awards were also outlined at the submissions workshop. Eligible residential projects include those that received their Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2025, as well as uncompleted projects for which the first caveat was lodged between January 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. Hotels and co-living spaces that are operational in 2025 also qualify for the awards. In addition, commercial (retail and office) and industrial projects completed between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2029, can participate as well.
The workshop also highlighted the Sustainability Excellence Award, which will be presented by CPG Corporation, the official knowledge partner and judging partner for the 2025 EPEA Awards. Gavin Chan, Head of Sustainability at CPG Corporation, emphasized the importance of sustainability in the real estate sector, as buildings contribute 25% of Singapore’s carbon emissions. The award will recognize developments that demonstrate strong sustainability performance, top-tier Green Mark certification, and qualification for green financing schemes. Scoring criteria include energy efficiency, whole life carbon, health and well-being, resilience, intelligence, and maintainability.
As the main sponsor of the 2025 EPEA, Swiss premium appliance brand V-ZUG shared its commitment to sustainability. The company has been carbon-neutral since 2020 and continues to advance its efforts through various initiatives. One notable initiative is the planting of trees in Scotland annually for biodiversity and carbon offsetting, with a total of one million trees planted to date. Angeline Yap, Managing Director of V-ZUG Southeast Asia, stated, “At V-ZUG, we truly believe that luxury and responsibility go hand in hand.”
Developer submissions for the 2025 EPEA will open in April and close on May 31. The assessment period will take place from June to July, and the award winners will be announced at the EPEA gala in October this year.
